A new school year is almost upon us! I don’t know about you, but I’m always afraid I’m going to miss something so I made this back to school checklist to keep myself on track, and I thought some of you would benefit from having it as well! Back to school time is exciting and a little crazy too right? My little one keeps going back and forth between being excited and being scared. I like to make sure she is part of the back to school planning process to help ease her into a great new year! Continue reading
If you want to save money the number #1 thing to do is write a list of the items you need. Then you find coupons to go with them. If you stick with your Real Advice Gal Printable Grocery List then you will also save money. I use this list. I laminated it and I use a dry erase marker to keep track of what we need each week. It is a great tool and helps my husband and myself stay on budget. It is yours to print. Please leave my logo on the bottom since it took a lot of time to create.
Mother’s Day is almost here! Have you picked out the perfect gift for the mom in your life? I’m still working on finding the perfect gift for my own Mom ha! One of the things I love doing on holidays is themed crafts and activities with my daughter. So this year she told me she wanted to make a list all about me which she could write for Mother’s Day. So she and I sat down and designed a Free Mother’s Day Printable for her to fill out for me. I thought I would share our creation with you so you could share it with your kids and Mom as well! I’m going to frame mine when my little girl is done filling it out. It will make a great memory!
It’s that time of year again, time to get together with family, have a great meal, and above all remember what we are thankful for! Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays because I love getting together with family and I like to cook! (And I’ll admit it, I LOVE Black Friday which pretty much starts on Thanksgiving now anyways right? Ha!). Every year before we have had our meal we hand out a piece of paper for everyone to write what they are thankful for down on and we share them during dinner. It’s one of my favorite family traditions. We have a box we keep them in so we can remember what we are thankful for during rough times that we might need reminding.
So this year I thought I would get a little snazzy and make a cute printable for our family members and I thought I would share it with you guys!
You can print these out, have your kids (and the adults!) fill them out and then you can discuss it while around your Thanksgiving table!
This year I am thankful for my wonderful family, my awesome job, and my small group of friends that I would be lost without. What are you thankful for? Let me know in the comments below!

A new school year is upon us! My little girl will be starting 1st grade in a few short days, and we were talking about what she wants to accomplish this year. She told me that she didn’t know how she would remember her goal by the end of the year, so we decided to make a Back to School Printable that we could hang in her room and she could remember what her goals were for the year. We actually printed out 2, one for school goals, and the other for dance goals. This year my little girl wants to learn how to write a paragraph, and make it through an entire dance without missing a step! Want to help your child with their goals for the new school year? School is out and summer is finally here! I for one am super excited to spend the summer hanging out with my kids. The time has come to sleep in, stay up a little later, and have some fun. But we do want to make sure that we all don’t end up sitting in front of our TVs all day, so I like to plan fun arts and crafts and educational projects for us to do in the summer. State Fair® thinks the same thing! They want to remind you that life is an adventure and it’s all in how you look at it! Continue reading
