Gluten Free Pressure Cooker Whole Chicken Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • Ingredients:
  • 1 cup of chicken broth
  • One packet of onion soup mix
  • 1 cup of carrot
  • 1/2 cup of onions
  • 2 cups of small potatoes
  • 1/2 cup of grape tomatoes

Instructions
 

  • You will place the potatoes at the bottom of the pressure cooker. Then I use the trivet to place my chicken on it. If you do not have a trivet buy it. I use mine 90% of the time!
  • Then pour in your liquid which in this case is the chicken broth. You can use water or wine if you want. I would rather drink my wine but to each their own. You need 1 cup.
  • Then I put the onion soup mix on top. I then sneak the veggies in the pressure cooker around the side. This is the easy part.
  • Set the pressure cooker for 30 minutes on high pressure for a 5lb pound chicken.
  • Then with your mitts  turn the dial to allow for a natural release. That means that you are letting out the steam until it is all out. I then check the temperature of my chicken to make sure it is cooked. I use this meat thermometer.
