1poundfresh asparagustrimmed and cut into 1-inch pieces
juice of 1 lemon
1c.of fresh peas
1c.uncooked small pastapenne, radiatore, ziti or shells, etc.
Cook pasta according to package directions; drain and chill. Place asparagus in a steamer basket over boiling water. Cover and steam 5 to 6 minutes or until crisp tender. Drain and immediately plunge asparagus into ice water to stop the cooking process. Drain and chill.
Whisk together lemon juice and next 4 ingredients in a small bowl. Arrange lettuce leaves in serving bowl. Combine asparagus, peas, cooked pasta, and dressing and serve!
