2012 What I learned
What did I learn in 2012? I learned to be who I am but not put videos of myself on you tube without makeup. Kidding! Yes, there are several on my channel. If you need a good laugh https://www.youtube.com/madamedeals. I learned to being a good mom means being good to yourself. It also means if you can’t get your work done while they are up just put it away and play with your kids. I learned how to use my camera and take blurry pictures on purpose instead of at very important moments that I wanted to document and eventually scrapbook when my children are in their twenties. {The picture above is my self portrait.} I learned to chose my friends more carefully and that sometimes you just need to go to court.
I learned that receiving is overrated compared to giving. I spend a lot of my time trying to figure out how I can give more. I realize that my hard work has allowed me to help other women become successful. I am happy to say that my company employs several people who are also able to provide the extras their family’s need. I have been fortunate enough to win several awards this year and my most recent one… Yahoo Shine’s Female Entrepreneur of the year’s prize will help me to provide new coats to a couple of women in the domestic abuse shelter.I learned that $100 can help a lot of people and I was proud to continue my tradition of helping people this holiday. I was also grateful to some of the sponsors that allowed me to extend my reach.
I learned that cooking every night is not going to happen and breakfast fro dinner is a totally cool choice. I learned to be an example to my children. I hope my daughter and my sons understand that you are only successful if you help those around you.I know they have seen my example and our making the right choices on their own.
I know that no matter how many minutes, days, or weeks, or years that come and go the thing we can count on is right now. I hope you make every moment count. I hope you reach for the stars and grab them. I hope you take the time to help one person today. You never know what you mean to someone and what your kindness can do.
This is what my family learn:
My Husband learned to get me food if I am hungry when we are driving it is easier than listening to me complain and get angry (I have some weird blood sugar thing).
My youngest learned to jump, ABC’s, his numbers through 20, and how to be a big boy
My daughter learned Tap Dancing, how to write some letters, how to sneak candy (brother’s quote) and how to sing Silent Night
My oldest learned Science, Math, and how to use my Iphone
I learned that no matter what I do my achievements aren’t as wonderful as the people in my life.
I hope you have an amazing 2013
