Teriyaki Salmon Recipe with a Sriracha Glaze
Teriyaki Salmon Recipe with Sriracha Glaze
I hope everyone is having a great week! I’m continuing on my journey to a healthy lifestyle and I’m always trying to think of new and yummy recipes that are not only good for you but taste great. Because let’s face it, no matter how good for a you a food is, if it doesn’t taste good, you are not going to want to eat it. As I’m typing I’m choking down a protein shake, because I know I need it, but I don’t like it lol. (Side note, if you have a great recipe for a good tasting protein shake please feel free to leave me a comment with the recipe!). This was not the case with dinner last night however, it was healthy and tasted awesome! So I thought I would share my Teriyaki Salmon Recipe with a Sriracha Glaze Recipe!
Here is how to make this Teriyaki Salmon Recipe with a Sriracha Glaze Recipe:
You Will Need:
- 4 Salmon Fillets (about 5 oz each)
- 2/3 cup Soy Sauce (I used Low Sodium)
- 2 tbsp Honey
- 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1 tsp Ground Ginger
- 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
- 1/2 cup Water
- 3 tbsp Sriracha (Less or more depending on your love of spice)
- 1 tbsp honey mustard
- Optional: Sesame seeds and Chives
Step 1: To make the glaze you will combine your soy sauce, honey, ginger, brown sugar, garlic powder, and water into a small saucepan and heat over medium high heat until simmering. You will want to make sure it’s a thick consistency.
Step 2: In a casserole dish (or any oven safe dish) combine your salmon and marinade and place in the fridge for at least 30 minutes, or up to overnight.
Step 3: Bake your salmon at 400 degrees F for 20 minutes. While your salmon is cooking get out a small bowl and combine your honey mustard and sriracha to make your glaze!
Step 4: Pull your salmon out of the oven and drizzle your sriracha glaze over the salmon. Serve over rice, quinoa, salad, or veggies! Yum!
There you have it! A super easy salmon recipe that is good and good for you! I hope you enjoy!
