Kalahari Resorts Review

School is out! One thing that makes my kids excited is a visit to a family indoor water park resort! Better yet don’t just go to any water park…go to one of the best – Kalahari Water Park!
Fun Water Slides for the Whole Family
Kalahari had a great mix of water slides for every age from the youngest adventurer to the youngest at heart. My boys are 5 years apart so I often worry that the oldest will grow out of things like water parks before the youngest really gets to enjoy them. Not to worry, Kalahari had enough thrills and spills for both my boys. I loved how the progression of slides in the area for smaller children was designed to help them build confidence.
There were also thrilling rides for the older kids and adults. They have a flow rider, 6 water slides, and even a water coaster. The water coaster turned out to be my family’s favorite ride and we did it over and over and over and over….
When it was time to slow down and relax a bit we all enjoyed the lazy river. The lazy river is nice because there all multiple places to enter and exit and the water moved at a nice pace to make the float enjoyable.
Adult Fun at Kalahari Resort
Four words: swim up pool bar! Three more words: No kids allowed! You have to be 21 to enjoy the pool bar. They have a nice selection of adult beverages. We felt very comfortable allowing our kids to play in the nearby pool and hot tub while we enjoyed a drink. Our children are excellent swimmers and are both on the swim team.
Kalahari Resorts also has a wonderful spa. I encourage you to pamper yourself and enjoy a spa service. The space is so beautiful and relaxing. I could spend a whole week just at the spa. Words can not describe the beauty and serenity of the spa, however, I did not want to disturb other guests by taking photos inside the spa.
Clean, Comfortable Rooms
My Kalahari Resort Review would not be complete if I did not tell you about the rooms. Our room was beautifully decorated and very pleasant. The beds were comfortable and everything was very clean. I was impressed with the amenities which included a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee pot.
Tips for enjoying your stay at Kalahari Resort
To get the most out of you stay, I suggest you arrive early and stay late. Check in is not until 4PM, but you can start enjoying the water park as early as noon. Just pre-register at the front desk to get your wristbands. I pack a water park bag with all our swimsuits so we can enjoy the water as soon as we arrive. Check out is at 11AM but you are invited to stay until closing time if you like to enjoy the park. I also pack a bag with our clothes, so we can use the showers in the locker rooms at the water park and get dressed when it is time to leave.
