CORT Furniture Rental Review
This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of CORT for IZEA. All opinions are 100% mine.
I am a preparer. I am often making lists of lists. I am the mom who will often have play dates at my house because that way I know I have everything I need if I need it. It wasn’t that long ago that I was a military active duty wife. We were stationed in Hawaii. I know it sounds like a dream. That is until you realize all of your worldly possessions will take 4-6 months to get to you. Do not worry; you are offered furniture that has the plastic on it. Yes, a bed with plastic. Sign me up. Not! There are so many lessons I learned while deployed and one of the greatest was how to set up a home. I learned that spending hundreds of dollars on stuff so that you can live until your true stuff gets there is silly. Yes, we wasted more money than we made. We didn’t research or find out about services that could help us. We depended on the services on the base and we were usually disappointed. That is why when I learned about this incredible alternative which is CORT Furniture Rental I had to share it with you. CORT Furniture Rental has locations near the majority of the mainland US Military bases to make the transition from duty station to home easier.
I am into saving time and saving my sanity, and I believe the two go hand in hand. I truly believe the cost-saving, time-saving, and a hassle-less experience is one I would highly encourage active duty Military Personnel to consider. We moved so much, and we never had a move where our furniture wasn’t destroyed. It was horrible. We learned our lesson that waiting for a delivery that was never on time, property destroyed and claims to submit were a waste of time. We eventually stopped moving our furniture. It wasn’t worth it.
I was reminded about the flexibility and complete service package that CORT offers, and I decided the idea of relaxing and letting someone else handle the details (something I never do!) was a great option for everyone. I know that renting places with furniture is so much more expensive, and you get stuck with pieces you do not even like. CORT has the styles you will love that fit your life and style and will enable you to start your life right when you get to your next deployment without the wait. You may not have thought about renting furniture before but it is a cost-effective and easy option for everyone. I was reminded about CORT Furniture Rental this again this summer. We had a rough few months. We have an older Florida home and we were shocked when we discovered that we had a leak in our exterior kitchen wall. Unfortunately, we were out of our home for three months because of the extensive damage. We checked into a hotel, and our insurance agent immediately put us in touch with a company that finds housing in the situations. When she started presenting homes to us to move into I was very confused. All of our stuff was in our house still, and I didn’t see how it would be practical to move all of our belongings into a home for such a short period. We figured out we didn’t have to do that. We could rent furniture, and they take care of everything. There is absolutely no need to worry because they HAVE done this before. They know what you need before you know what you need. It was so nice to deal with a company that could reassure me that they could take care of everything, and I could believe it.
There are so many people who would benefit from CORT. I think about my friends who are moving to new places for jobs, people who have repair issues in their homes, people with second homes, but I especially see the benefit to those who are serving our country. I can’t tell you how much easier life would have been if I could have immediately taken our house and made it a home. There is nothing worse then moving to a new place and not having the furniture you need to get settled. CORT Furniture Rental has military rates available to families who need to transition quickly from city to city. I was impressed that a company like this was thinking of how they can contribute to support those who support our military the most– their families. Regardless of how you find yourself in a situation where you have to transition quickly, it is nice to know that there are companies out there who are ready to help you get settled into your new home with expertise and ease.
