Chutzpah: Being Brave
ChutzpaChutzpah. This is a word that is used often by myself because sometimes I just can’t believe what people do. I mean really! I thought it would be fun to share our Chutzpah moments. The only rules are no names of stores, people, or events. You may also not use inappropriate language. Leave a comment listing your favorite Chutzpah moment! I mean laughter is the best medicine.
chutzpah Or khutspe. Nerve, extreme arrogance, brazen presumption. In English, chutzpah often connotes courage or confidence, but among Yiddish speakers, it is not a compliment.
In honor of 9/11. I would like to thank the men and women who were brave. Those you ran into buildings and fought fires. Those whose life was changed forever and they have made it work. Those that have spent each day trying to make sense of the destruction. Those who have held their children tighter and redefined their dreams to match their new reality. I would like to take a minute to be silent and to honor those we lost. It takes Chutzpah to put your life on the line. It also takes a lot of chutzpah to go on when the life you knew was suddenly changed forever.
