Chutzpah: Charging to pay ahead
ChutzpaChutzpah. This is a word that is used often by myself because sometimes I just can’t believe what people do. I mean really! I thought it would be fun to share our Chutzpah moments. The only rules are no names of stores, people, or events. You may also not use inappropriate language. Leave a comment listing your favorite Chutzpah moment! I mean laughter is the best medicine.
chutzpah Or khutspe. Nerve, extreme arrogance, brazen presumption. In English, chutzpah often connotes courage or confidence, but among Yiddish speakers, it is not a compliment.
Dear Nation Star Mortgage-
I am ashamed of you. If you look at all the trouble mortgage companies are in because people are not paying their bill you seek to charge those of us that want to pay ahead a fee. I was so excited to be able to make an extra payment to lower the life of my loan. I tried to go to your site and do it myself. It is by far the biggest disaster I have seen in terms of ease of use. I then received a letter telling me I could pay every two week. I was ready. That was until I read to set this up would cost me $295.00. I mean really? You want me to pay to pay you early? I can’t wait until someone else buys my mortgage so that I will no longer be a customer of yours. I mean what company charges you to pay your bill online. The companies I pay for my other bills reward me for my prompt payment… but you want to charge me.
Sincerely,
Soon to be a former client! Because Madame Deals Makes Dollars out of change and paying one payment extra each year is a big change that will result in dollars in the future!
