Eggs Benny: Made By Mr. Madame Deals
My kids love fish but it can’t be fishy!
I love Eggs Benedict and I love breakfast for dinner. This meal has a funny story you see I bought the Knorr package for the Hollandaise sauce. My husband didn’t know so he got out The Joy of Cooking Cookbook and made his own. He used toast and deli ham cut a little thicker. He did an excellent job it sure was yummy and less expensive then buying ingredients for just one dish. We used what we have on hand and made it fancy!
Hollandaise sauce
- 3 egg yolks
- 1 teaspoon water
- 1/4 teaspoon sugar
- 12 tablespoons (1 1/2 sticks of butter)
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 2 teaspoons freshly squeezed lemon juice or use the lemon juice in the plastic container
- 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper or we used Mrs. Dash
We turn the heat to medium and whisk the eggs, water, and sugar. Once the eggs are whisked together you will need ot slowly add int he butter until it is melted then add the salt, lemon juice, and pepper.
You will need to to serve this hot and ASAP… this is also yummy or veggies!
