Halloween Pallet Project
Halloween Pallet Project
I don’t know about you, but I love Halloween crafts, and the easier the better! I spent the week working outside of the home in a warehouse to help out a friend and they had tons of pallets, so I got to thinking about how I could use them for a fun craft. (Because that’s what we bloggers do, always thinking of ways we can be creative!) and I thought it would be really fun to make a Halloween Pallet Project that involved making fun faces!
Here is how to make this Halloween Pallet Project:
First you will want to decided on your theme! You could do a zombie, a ghost, a pumpkin, a Frankenstein, or whatever else you can come up with! My art skills are limited at best, so I wanted to go with something easy, and my 6 year old actually did the pumpkin one by herself! You will want to lay a base coat down first. We used acrylic paint and it worked great! (Tip: you might want to sand down the wood to make sure you don’t have any pointy pieces sticking up, trust me, they hurt!)
Next, Before painting your design I would suggest drawing it in pencil first. So you can see what it’s going to look like and adjust it as needed. I did this part for my 6 year old, and she did the rest. I love that this project is easy enough for the whole family to get involved in!
Then, paint your design! Go crazy and make it how you want! My daughter decided on the pumpkin while I worked on our Frankenstein. It was such a fun project to do together outside while we enjoyed the fall day.
Finally, let dry and set in your yard to enjoy. It’s that simple! I love doing different pallet projects for all the holidays and it’s so cheap to do! If you have a warehouse or a big box store near you ask them for a few pallets and most of them will be more than happy to give you a few!
