How to make Edible Finger Paint!
Today I am going to show you how to make Edible Finger Paint!
I don’t know about you guys, but my little girl LOVES to paint. She also loves to put things in her mouth that don’t belong there! (I.E, paint, nail polish, markers, etc) So I thought of a great idea, Edible Finger Paint! it’s easy to make, and fun!
Here is how to make Edible Finger Paint:
You will need:
Plain Yogurt (Vanilla would work as well, just make sure it’s white), food coloring, and paper, that’s it! Easy Peasy!
Edible Finger Paint Instructions:
Step 1: Scoop out some yogurt into 3 separate bowls (or more, if you are using more then 3 colors)
Step 2: Add about 3 drops of food coloring into each bowl, then mix well (Make sure you don’t use more than 3-4 drops of food coloring, otherwise the “paint” will get dark and muddy.)
Step 3: Taste Test! This will probably be your kids favorite part of the Edible Finger Paint craft, I know it was mines!
Step 5: Get to painting! Painting with your Edible Finger Paint is just like painting with regular paint, expect it’s yummy!
We made some abstract art for our Edible Finger Paint art work. I think they turned out pretty fun!
There you have it, DIY Edible Finger Paint!
Me and my little girl had a great time making it, it’s easy enough that even little ones can do it themselves! The thing I like most about the Edible Finger Paint is the cleanup, or lack there of! What doesn’t get eaten, gets completely washed out with hot water, unlike regular finger paint that stains everything.
