Memories: Setting the table

Memories are created by taking a moment and making it special. I recently went to a painting party and painted the picture above. When I got home I placed the picture on the counter. I had a wonderful time and the picture was part of the fun. I never intended to do anything with it. Then next morning I came downstairs and my daughter asked if we could hang it. She helped me find the perfect place. We spent a lot of time thinking about where it should go. The perfect place happened to be at their eye level. Then she wanted us to cut flowers for her table. We had a wonderful time decorating the kitchen and her table. It got me thinking it is a really nice idea to have a special retreat created by the children. I would have never thought to create a cafe inside just for them. I look forward to more decorating projects with my children.
