The best time to buy winter coats in now! I saved more than $5 by buying my winter coat online. I ordered through Lands ends. I ordered 4 coats because I had no idea what would look good on me. It really didn’t matter because the coats were around $40 each. I am going to keep all 4 but my budget was $150 for a winter coat. I know that the best time to buy a winter coat is in January. The large retails begin to mark down right after Christmas and make major mark Downs after New Years. You can wait longer but you may not have the selection or the sizes you require. I decided to keep two coats and then donate one to woman’s shelter and I will return the last one. That way I can come in under budget and I will end up giving a coat to someone who needs one. I love watching the sales so I can pay it forward.

I saved by buying my Winter coat online. I find that a lot of times the prices for items is cheaper when you buy them online. This was true with the amount of money I saved on my winter coat. I saved over 65%.

The other tip I have for is you is try shopping at places that have a retail store where you can take the item back if it doesn’t work out. I love my Land End coat but I wasn’t sure of the fit or style. I knew that if I ordered a couple styles I could easily take them back to Sears. I also found out if you return them to the store and buy Land End again you will receive a 10% discount on your purchase which was great since I picked up my children’s coats for next year for less than $40 each.
