Chutzpah: fraudulent emails
Chutzpah. This is a word that is used often by myself because sometimes I just can’t believe what people do. I mean really! I thought it would be fun to share our Chutzpah moments. The only rules are no names of stores, people, or events. You may also not use inappropriate language. Leave a comment listing your favorite Chutzpah moment! I mean laughter is the best medicine.
chutzpah Or khutspe. Nerve, extreme arrogance, brazen presumption. In English, chutzpah often connotes courage or confidence, but among Yiddish speakers, it is not a compliment. For more Yiddish WordsChut
I hate people who attempt to take advantage of people. I received this email and it makes my blood boil!
It’s me, Kate. I really don’t mean to inconvenience you right now, I made a little trip to UK and I misplaced my luggage that contains my passport and credit cards, I know this may sound odd, but it all happened very fast. I need to get a new passport and a ticket, but I’m short of funds to pay for my ticket and other miscellaneous expense. Please, can you lend me some funds to get a ticket? I’ll be willing to pay back as soon as I get home.
Please respond as soon as you get this message, so I can forward you my details to send the funds to me, OR you can drop a message via the hotel’s desk phone if you can. The numbers are, +447045733705.
I await your response
Kate Willson
