Learn How to Make a Bacon Bouquet
Give dad what he really wants for Valentine’s Day or Father’s day, a Bacon Bouquet!! It’s a fun way to give dad something really unique! I found this idea on an Ecard last week, and I knew I just had to give it a try!
It’s super easy to make, and is sure to give dad a giggle when he receives it. The whole process takes about an hour, and 40 mins of that is cook time. It’s also easy enough that you can get your kids involved! My little girl (5) put this all together (minus putting in and taking out of the oven) all by herself! The only problem is trying to cover up the bacon smell while you’re making it!
Here is what you will need to make a Bacon Bouquet
- Bacon! I would suggest the traditional cut over the thick cut, because it will cook faster.
- A fake flower bouquet.
- A disposable muffin tin
- a vase
- something for the bottom of the base, I used chocolate chips.

Here is how to make a Bacon Bouquet:
First, Get out your disposable muffin tin and cut slits in the bottom, you will do this so the bacon grease has somewhere to escape while cooking. In the instructions I found people were drilling holes in the bottom of real muffin tins, and ain’t nobody got time for that!
Next, Take your bacon and roll them up, you will roll them “fat side” first, so you will have a nice “rose” shape when they are done cooking.
Then, Once you have your bacon all rolled up, place them into a muffin tin, and place the muffin tin on a baking sheet (or cake pan) and set your oven for 450. Cook the bacon for about 30-40 mins or until crispy on the outside, and fully cooked on the inside.
Next, you will take your fake flower bouquet and pops the flowers off of the stem. Make sure when you are picking out your flowers that you do not pick a bunch that is super glued to the stem, it will be more of a hassle than it is worth.
Finally, Assemble your Bacon bouquet! You will take your bacon and put them on the stems and arrange them how you want. Fill your vase with your base (m&ms, mini candy bars, whatever it is your recipient would love) and insert your flower bouquet. That’s it!
I love how simple this was to make, and I know my Husband will get a huge kick out of it! Got a health conscience dad/husband/boyfriend/whatever? You could do this with turkey bacon or ham slices as well!
