What is the Best Moisturizer for Dry Skin?
Dove Derma Review
I was making dinner. It was my turn to stir the pot for once it was an actual pot not me starting trouble. I looked down and noticed my hands looked dry and old. I was startled at first were those my hands?
The ones with the spots, dry skin, and wrinkles. They couldn’t be my hands. My hands were strong and helpful. They have picked up babies, made beds, written essays before there were computers, they were hands that clap, hands that helped, and hands that firmly held the hands of my children. They were my hands and one of my favorite parts of my body because they allowed me to do everything I needed to do for myself and my family. They began to decline with the weather and age. These hands went from being soft to dry and itchy. They began to become bothersome instead of helpful. I also didn’t want them to be the hands that looked like those of an old lady.
I knew there had to be a solution to stop the aging of my hands, the dry skin, to put an end once and for all to the itchy feeling and I was going to find it. I started my search for the best moisturizer for dry skin. I, of course, looked for the brand and a store that I trusted. I am a loyal fan of Dove products, so I was overjoyed to see they had a new product line at Target. The Dove Derma line.
I find that Dove products do what they say they will do for a price that you can afford. I hate spending money on things that do not work. So are these the best moisturizer for dry skin? I wanted to share my 7-day results using the Dove Derma line.
The Dove Derma Dry Skin Relief Hand Cream itself is replenishing in nature. It is for severely dry, itchy skin. It isn’t sticky, and it is lightly textured. It doesn’t have a fragrance, and it is dermatologist tested. When I apply it I use a dime size amount. I rubbed it on my entire hand. I found my hands to instantly feel smoother.
Then I decided if I was going to have nice hands I might as well work on the rest of my body, so I also used the Dove Derma Dry Skin Relief Replenishing Body Lotion which is also part of the Dove Derma line found at Target. It also boosts the same fragrance-free, non-sticky, light textured lotion for severely dry, itchy skin.
You can see in my before pictures my hands were dull and dry. You can’t tell, but they itched. I didn’t realize it was because they were dry until I tried the Dove Derma and then I realized the problem.
You can see in my leg pictures that my skin wasn’t supple it was lifeless. It didn’t radiate moisture, and the texture just looked awful.
You can see what a difference the Dove Derma product line has made in just seven days. Follow my weekly journey on Instagram @realadvicegal to see weekly results as I continue to test if these are the best moisturizer for dry skin.
