Chutzpah: I Quit my job
Chutzpah. This is a word that is used often by myself because sometimes I just can’t believe what people do. I mean really! I thought it would be fun to share our Chutzpah moments. The only rules are no names of stores, people, or events. You may also not use inappropriate language. Leave a comment listing your favorite Chutzpah moment! I mean laughter is the best medicine.
chutzpah Or khutspe. Nerve, extreme arrogance, brazen presumption. In English, chutzpah often connotes courage or confidence, but among Yiddish speakers, it is not a compliment.
I sat down in December last year and made a business plan. I worked each month to accomplish my goals. I decided that in a year I would be able to quit my job and work on my business. I am lucky in that fact that we have chosen to live on my husband’s salary and my earnings were for the extras. I wrote down what I needed to earn monthly so our children would have what they needed. I made sure I was able to reach those goals for three months straight. Then I put in my notice. I decided I was missing out on my children and I wanted to spend time with them. I always say if you put forth the effort and have a plan you never know what you can accomplish you just have to have the Chutzpah to believe in yourself!
