Chutzpah: Mean GIrls
ChutzpaChutzpah. This is a word that is used often by myself because sometimes I just can’t believe what people do. I mean really! I thought it would be fun to share our Chutzpah moments. The only rules are no names of stores, people, or events. You may also not use inappropriate language. Leave a comment listing your favorite Chutzpah moment! I mean laughter is the best medicine.
chutzpah Or khutspe. Nerve, extreme arrogance, brazen presumption. In English, chutzpah often connotes courage or confidence, but among Yiddish speakers, it is not a compliment.
Wow! I am so surprised still at what happened last night. I decided to address bullying. The truth is if your are groups that breed bullies and if you are indeed someone that helps one day that person will turn and you will be the one bullied. It happens all the time. I have seen it. I have lived it. I am sure most of you have as well. I often think about the fact that people look for ways to tear people down instead of building them up. I made the decision a long time ago not to be that person. I am far from perfect but I recognize my downfalls and work hard to correct them. I know who the head mean girl is in this group. I am happy to say I made her mad by offering to help her husband find a job because he was out of work. I called the owner of a local restaurant that I knew to get him an interview. She sent me his resume to help. I then learned that her washer was broken I invited her over to use mine. I hate laundry but offered to help her do hers. She told me the house she was living in was being foreclosed I said if you and children need some where to stay you can stay here. The best part is I have never met her face to face, She said they were having a hard time making ends meets I invited to my home for lunch. I figured I am good at helping people with their money and at the time I was working virtually and could possibly get her a job. Then she stopped talking to me. It wasn’t until two weeks later that I was sent screenshots with her accusing me of making comments on her facebook page. I never went to her facebook page I was working 30 hours a week and blogging and I was a stay at home mom. The fact of the matter is if I do not like you. I would not say anything or I would address you privately. I would not bash anyone. The reason why I am sharing this story is I truly believe that bullies are just that and one day they may be next to you and the next day you are their target. I thought I would share my experiences so you know what will put a target on your back and that is being kind, helpful, and thoughtful.
