Lisa’s Advocare 24 Day Challenge Review for Days 1 – 5
I am a 40 year old mom with three kids and I have been married for 13 years. I decided to do the Advocare 24 day challenge for two reasons. The first reason was for my husband. He needs to lose weight. I want him around forever and in order for that to happen he needs to lead a healthier lifestyle. The second reason was for me. I have always been an active person I like to take dance, aerobics, and kickboxing classes. After having two kids losing weight and staying in shape has been more difficult for me. After my second child it took me two years to lose the pregnancy weight and I kept it off for 4 years. About 1 ½ years ago I just started packing on weight, I’m still not sure why. I really watched what I ate and exercised regularly. My Dr. said welcome to 40!! Then I had a rotator cuff injury and I was out for six months with physical therapy so of course I put on more weight. This summer/fall I was able to lose 20 pounds but the last 15 are being more stubborn. Several friends told me how they lost weight using Advocare and I decided to try it.
My three kids are a 17 year old stepson, 10 year old son, and 7 year old daughter. We are an active family. We love boating!! We live in Florida and we use our boats all year long. We water ski and wakeboard all year long as well as use our ocean boat to enjoy the intracoastal and ocean. Both my husband and I work in education so we have the same time off with our kids. This gives us the opportunity to go boating a lot which means I LIVE in a bikini!!
Does Advocare 24 Day Challenge Work?
I am on day 5 of my Advocare Challenge and things are going great!! I was hungry the first day but since then I’ve been fine. My biggest concern with this program was the foods to eat on Advocare 24 day challenge. Having to find ways to eat foods that tasted good and not eating any carbohydrates. It has been a challenge to cook foods that my husband and I both like. I LOVE vegetables he does not like many verities. So I really searched out recipes with things I knew he would like especially anything with a little kick in spice. I found lots of recipes on Pinterest. I was very overwhelmed at first with the timing of when to eat and take the supplements but we have a routine already. I set everything out the night before. All the supplements we take in the morning and our breakfast. Our lunches and snacks are pre-packed and ready to grab in the morning. We cook dinner when we get home we have also done a couple crock pot recipes which has been great to have the leftovers so we don’t have to cook every night. Planning is necessary!!
