Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Bread Recipe
Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Bread Recipe
Who says pumpkin bread is just for the fall? In my family, we enjoy this chocolate chip pumpkin bread recipe all year round. It’s easy to make and my kids love to eat it as part of any meal. And it’s always a big hit at my husband’s office. This recipe yields 3 loaves of chocolate chip pumpkin bread, so I usually send one to work with my husband and save the other 2 for my family to enjoy. It’s so great warmed up with a little butter, or a side of ice cream if you are feeling really fancy! I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as we do!

You Will Need:
- 1 can pumpkin
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 3 eggs
- 3 cups all purpose flour
- 1 tbsp cinnamon
- 1 tbsp nutmeg
- 2/3 cup water
- 2 tsp baking soda
- 1 cup mini chocolate chips
- 1 tsp salt
Instructions for making my Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Bread:
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour 3 9×5 inch loaf pans.
- In a large bowl, combine sugar, pumpkin, oil, water, and eggs. Beat until smooth. Blend in flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, baking soda, and salt. Fold in chocolate chips. Fill pans 1/2 to 3/4 full.
- Bake for 1 hour, or until an inserted toothpick (or knife) comes out clean. Cool on wire racks before removing from pans. Enjoy warm with some butter. Yum!
This pumpkin bread smells wonderful and tastes even better! Wrap it tightly in plastic wrap to store. But grab a slice quickly…this bread gets eaten up fast!
You can also make a plain version without the chocolate chips.
