Fun and Yummy Halloween Treat Mix Recipe
This Halloween Snack Mix is the perfect combination of sweet, salty, and crunchy treats, all dressed up for the spooky season! It’s easy to prepare, and it’s great for sharing at parties or giving as a festive snack.
Here is how to make this Halloween Treat Mix Recipe
Ingredients:
- 3 cups Chex cereal (corn or rice)
- 2 cups mini pretzels
- 1 cup raisins (or dried cranberries for a twist)
- 1 cup candy corn
- 1/2 cup candy pumpkins
- 2–3 tablespoons black and orange sprinkles
- 2 cups caramel or baking chocolate, melted
Instructions:
- Prepare the Mix: In a large mixing bowl, combine the Chex cereal, mini pretzels, raisins, candy corn, and candy pumpkins. Stir gently to mix all ingredients together, making sure they’re evenly distributed.
- Prepare Baking Sheet: Line a large baking sheet with wax paper or aluminum foil for easy cleanup and to keep your mix from sticking.
- Spread the Mix: Pour the combined snack mix onto the prepared baking sheet, spreading it into an even layer to make sure the toppings will coat all pieces.
- Add Sprinkles: Sprinkle the black and orange sprinkles generously over the top of your mix. This adds a festive Halloween touch and a little extra crunch.
- Melt and Drizzle: Melt the caramel or baking chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth. Carefully drizzle the melted caramel or chocolate over the entire mix on the baking sheet. Use a spoon or fork to create a thin, even coating.
- Cool and Set: Let the mix sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes or until completely cool and set. For quicker results, you can refrigerate it for 10–15 minutes.
- Break Into Chunks: Once the caramel or chocolate has hardened, break the mix into bite-sized clusters.
- Serve and Enjoy: Serve your Halloween Harvest Snack Mix in a large festive bowl, or divide it into individual treat bags for a fun party snack.
