Homemade BBQ Sauce Recipe
It’s time to break out the grill and make some yummy BBQ! My family loves grilling out all year up until it starts to snow, and recently we started making our own Homemade BBQ Sauce recipe! It’s cheaper to make, you can customize it to fit your flavor pallet, and it doesn’t have all the preservatives that store bought BBQ sauces have. So today I thought I would share my Homemade BBQ Sauce Recipe with you guys so you can make your own as well!
Homemade BBQ Sauce Recipe
Here is what you will need to make my Homemade BBQ Sauce Recipe:
- 2 cups Ketchup
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup Apple Cider Vinegar
- 8 tbs Brown Sugar
- 1/2 tbs pepper
- 1/2 tbs salt
- 1 tbs onion powder
- 1/2 tsp cayenne
- 1 tbs Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tbs ground mustard
- 1 tsp lemon juice
Here is how to make this Homemade BBQ Sauce Recipe:
First, In a medium sauce pan, add your ketchup and water, mix well.
Then, add in all your other ingredients and mix, bring to a boil.
Next, Reduce heat to medium and let simmer for 45 minutes.
Finally, let sauce cool, and pour into mason jars for keeping. Keep in fridge up to a month. Yields 3 1/2 cups.
