Summer is here! I love being able to spend the entire summer with my daughter and I try to make sure we are as busy as possible to make the most of our time. For those that don’t know, my husband works nights so 5 nights out of the week it is just my daughter and I for dinner. I will admit, sometimes that means sandwiches and salads because I find it hard to cook for only 2 people. I have been getting better at making sure I fix wholesome meals for us, I really have! It’s easy, quick, and delicious! And one of the best parts is it’s easy enough that my daughter can get in the kitchen and help me cook. Do you let your kids in the kitchen when you cook? I try to have my daughter in the kitchen with me at least a few times to cook. In my opinion teaching your kids to cook early in life is one of the best things you can do for them! It teaches them Independence, responsibility, and it can help with measurements, reading, etc. (Not to mention it will cut some of the work for you once they get the hang out of it, ha!)
After we headed to Wal-Mart to pick up our favorite Hamburger Helper® variety it was time to go home and get to cooking (For the record, the Deluxe Cheeseburger Macaroni is our favorite)!
