Memories
This series on how to make the most out of the time you have with your children is brought to you by Amee at Madame Deals and Sharon at Mom on Dealz.
As a certified teacher and avid reader myself, I am always looking for a chance to have some fun reading with my kids. One type of reading material that many parents forget about is a magazine. Magazines can be used for crafts, reading, and kids LOVE them! My students always felt like reading magazine were a special treat and my own children feel the same way. Magazines also are not as intimidating for children since there are short articles and lots of pictures included in reading them. Even if your child isn’t of reading age, browse through a magazine and discuss the pictures, charts, and other graphics with your child. Have them make up their own stories to go along with images-my oldest son really enjoys this! When we’re done reading, the baby practices his fine motor skills by ripping up the pages! 🙂
If you’re looking for some magazines that are kid friendly, here are some free ones!
