 Great Outdoor Toys for Boys

My boys love to run around outside and play and our home school days run much smoother when I incorporate several outside breaks into our day. While I sometimes join the boys, taking a walk or a bike ride together, more often than not I turn them loose outside on their own. This gives them a chance to have a break from not only their school work but a break from mom and a chance to exercise some independence. Of course, they know the biggest rule is to stay in our own backyard which they are very good at doing. But the other key is to have a variety of activities for them to do and toys they can play with. We have a playset with a slide and swings. We have a trampoline. We have a stick fort the boys built themselves. We have soccer balls and kickballs. All of which are fun and entertaining but it was a real treat to try out some new outdoor toys for boys.

The Dart Gun Scorpion Gatling Blaster was an instant hit. Remember to always wear your safety glasses. We have several pair to share with visitors so all out friends can join in the fun. No one will be shooting their eyes out in my backyard. We also do not shoot at each other. The blasters and bows are only used for target practice or shooting competitions. The Scorpion Gatling Blaster is perfect for target practice with its rapid fire rotating barrel and ammo gun that holds 20 darts.   The boys also like to see who can shoot the darts the farthest, although the boy using the Scorpion Gatling Blaster has an unfair advantage since the darts fly up to 70 ft. The second toy in our review of outdoor toys for boys is the Zing Air Storm Fire Tek Bow. I gotta tell you this toy had me grabbing for my own safety glasses. It was so much fun. The bow lights up, the arrows light up, and it makes a super fun screaming sound as the arrow flies through the air. My son had to keep asking for me to let him have a turn. The arrows are super easy to load for quick fire capability. They also fly high and far which is the goal. I am not sure we were able to get it to shoot 145 ft as advertised but it sure went a whole lot farther than any other similar type toys we have owned. While you are working on your holiday shopping, I would definitely add this to the list for any boys you are shopping for. You can find these toys at Walmart and they really are rather inexpensive.
