Recipe Using Cheerios

Are you a fan of college basketball? Then for sure you can’t wait for the big March NCAA basketball games. We all know that watching games isn’t complete without awesome snacks to munch on while watching and cheering for your favorite team.

I decided to get my kids in the spirit of the game with yummy Recipe Using Cheerios. They love Cheerios® and marshmallows make for the perfect ingredient to create basketballs. These cheerio balls were both fun to create and tasty.  The best thing is you only need a couple of items to create these tasty treats. They are easy to transport to your next party and will make a unique take home gift for your party attendees.

Recipe Using Cheerios

Cheerio Basketballs Recipe

You will need:

1/2 stick of butter

1 bag of Marshmallow

5 cups of Cheerios®

Red food coloring

Yellow food coloring

Black icing

Then you will need to melt the butter on low on the stove.

Then add the marshmallows into the melted butter and keep stirring.

Add both red and yellow food coloring to achieve a basketball orange color.

Then add in your five cups of Cheerios®

Stir in the Cheerios®.

Then form balls with the Cheerios®. I would make sure they have cooled a little prior to forming balls. Then put them on wax paper to cool.

Then place the icing on the plate and create lines on the basketball. Let the icing dry and Enjoy the Cheerio Balls!

These Cheerio Balls will make sure you are ready for the big games and beyond!
