The Melting Pot Review
The Melting Pot is my choice for a night out.

I visited The Melting Pot on two separate occasions last month and was impressed both times. Each visit was a date night and a chance to catch up with friends and family, Kids Free. Each time was an experience of its own and provided a time of conversation, relaxation, amazing service, and delectable food.
The Melting Pot has recently reworked their menu and have allowed for more individual choices. This means that each person can pick their own individual entree and do not have to worry about “pairing up” for entree selection. The Melting Pot offers many variations of their menu and allows you to pick from 1 course to 4 courses.
We went for the gusto each time and selected their 4 course experience. An “experience” is what we received. We started with an awesome cheese fondue (there are 5 to choose from) and an adult drink (from their complete bar and wine cellar).

Our cheese fondue was followed by a light salad. My favorite is the California Salad which features baby salad greens, candied pecans, Roma tomatoes, Gorgonzola Cheese and a Raspberry Walnut Vinaigrette. We proceeded to our entree selection and selected the Coq Au Vin method of cooking. They do offer other entree cooking selections including a Caribbean style, a Bourguignonne and a simple seasoned vegetable broth. Since each person now can choose their own entree selection ordering was simple. I chose “The Classic”.

We finished up our meal with a delicious Chocolate Fondue complete with strawberries, cheesecake, brownies, and rice krispie treats.

Both of my visits to The Melting Pot took place at the Troy,MI location. I was impressed with the attentiveness of the staff from the hostess to the manager. The manager, Annie, was working the night of our first visit and she was frequently seen talking to guests and even filled in when our waiter was with other guests. Out of both visits my first visit was my favorite even though both were relaxing, delicious, and an enjoyable dining experience. Our waiter, John, the first evening took his time going over all the new menu options and had great suggestions for fondue choices. The best part was he was spot on each time and we never regretted a choice we made from his recommendations. He made us feel like we were his only guests he was waiting on and our courses were never rushed, even though the restaurant was busy that evening.
I strongly recommend The Melting Pot for a night out with friends, family or your special someone.
The Melting Pot locations always feature specials, events, and Ladies Nights Out.
