Healthy & Fun Quick Breakfast Ideas For Kids
I am always looking for some healthier and yet still fun quick breakfast ideas for the kids. Mornings can be so hectic, but I still enjoy taking the time to be a family at every meal when possible. At evening meals, it is easy to sit down and ask questions about the day, but what can you do for breakfast to make it fun and still a healthy breakfast?
Healthy & Fun Quick Breakfast Ideas For Kids
We have tried many quick breakfast ideas, but we keep coming back to our top three. These are always welcomed by the kids, and of course, they fit easily into my budget as well as our morning routine.
Multi-grain breakfast cereal with fresh fruit. While I am usually one to say no to cereal due to the added sugars, I love a good multi-grain breakfast cereal. In fact, it is our go-to in this list of quick breakfast ideas. Brands like General Mills offer high-quality breakfast cereals with tons of options that are lower in sugar and include fiber and all of the nutrition I want my kids to have each day.
Yogurt parfaits. For a little extra treat, my kids love to enjoy a yogurt parfait. You can easily layer honey-sweetened Greek yogurt into a bowl or glass with sprinkles of crunchy cereal between each layer. Add in some complimentary fresh fruit slices and it’s a great hearty breakfast that is healthy and high in protein. Plus kids have tons of fun layering these parfaits.
Healthy muffins. Muffins are great quick breakfasts ideas that can even be eaten in the car if needed. I like to make healthy bran muffins using high fiber cereal and sweetened with fruit like bananas or applesauce for the kids to enjoy. Here is a recipe for a great healthy breakfast muffin we love.

One big thing for us is that candy is a no-no in the morning in my house. With Reese’s Puffs cereal not only does it satisfy that craving for the taste of Reese’s but it is something you can eat in the morning. “The flavor is of peanut butter is the best part of cereal ” is what my kids have declared. The Honey nut cheerios are one of my favorites. I love to throw some in a container for a healthy snack.
