What are the four words that can ruin your entire schedule?
“Mom, I feel SICK!”
Me: What? Are you sure? Please, do not be sure. Run over to the child and feel his head. He isn’t “hot.” Run downstairs, get a thermometer to confirm. Then realize that I forget to ask what is hurting. Run back upstairs. Only to be told he is itchy and has a rash on his belly. A rash. Then I Google. Then I stop myself from Googling because I have no idea what I am looking at and what he has. Note: do not ever Google rash. You can’t unsee what you will see. Truly, do not Google anything healthcare-related that is why there are trained doctors.
Next, I run over every way I can fit a doctor visit into my day. I could go right after the others get on the bus. Could I go after I teach my first class? Who is going to watch him while I am teaching him? I can’t send him to school with a rash. What if it is contagious? What if it is something that others could get? I do not want to be the parent that sends her child to school, and the rest of the class gets the rash.
Then I remember a service I can use. I can use Amwell. I can call a doctor in my home, and they can determine if this is a contagious rash or one you can put some cream on and get on with your life. I can actually do all this before I have to be at work and he has to be at school. The problem of when to see a doctor is resolved!
This is how you connect with Amwell:
Why should you call Amwell? Do you have someone in your home that is experiencing:
- Fever
- Cold & flu
- Allergies
- Sinus infections
- Stomach bugs
- Pediatrics
- Rashes
- UTI
Remember that Amwell complements in-person care. It is not a replacement in emergencies. It’s great for 24/7 urgent care from the comfort of home or on the go.
Why else should Amwell be your solution? If you are like me? You do not have the time or energy to run to the doctor or a healthcare provider. You also hate going to the doctor paying a co-pay and then getting a huge bill in the mail after they have spent 15 minutes with you. That has happened to me more times then I can count. I pay my co-pay and then receive an additional bill. I hate going to the doctor when I am sick knowing I could get sicker or because I have children I am caring for, and I have to try to manage them and myself and then wait. I hate taking my kids for the same reason!
Why Amwell is my choice because these are real doctors, and they can help you, and their fees are very reasonable, and they are upfront. You will not be billed later. I mean, nothing is worse than thinking you have paid only to receive a bill for a hundred dollars later for a common issue that could have easily been resolved.
If you are sick or have an issue that you would like a doctor to help you through, I am giving you the opportunity to try the service. You need to go to Amwell and sign up for an account.
It is easy. I have used the service and you can as well here is a discount code Amwell25 for 25% off a $69 urgent care visit. Go to this link to start your discounted doctor’s visit!
