DIY Bubble Bath

Bubbles always make a bath more fun, but why buy it when you can make DIY Bubble Bath at home for 1/2 the price? I have a great (and easy!) recipe for DIY Bubble Bath that you are sure to love! The best part about making your own bubble bath is that you can customize it the way you want it, and it makes a great gift! You can choose your color and the smell using the same recipe! My little girl said she wanted “Ballerina Bubble Bath” so that is what I set out to do. Needless to say, she loves it! This would be a fun project for sleepovers, or a great gift for the bubble bath lover in your life! (Which is everyone you know right!?) You could even get fancy by finding a really awesome container for it!

Here is what you will need to make this DIY Bubble Bath:

bath1

  • 1 cup (clear) tear free shampoo
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • food coloring of your choice
  • fragrance oil of your choice (we chose lavender)
  • Decoration of your choice (You could use ribbon, sparkles, handwriting, etc)

Here is how to make this DIY Bubble Bath:

Step 1: Pour your shampoo into a bowl, and slowly add in your water. You’ll want to do it slowly so you don’t create bubbles just yet.

Step 2: Add in your salt and stir together (Slowly!)

Step 3: Add in your choice of food coloring. Just a few drops will be plenty! Also add in your fragrance oil, start with a few drops and smell it, if it isn’t strong enough add in a few more until you are satisfied.

Step 4: Pour your mixture into your chosen container. I like to test it to make sure I get the bubbles right. If it isn’t creating as much bubbles as you would like, add in some more shampoo.

Step 5: Decorate it! You can go simple like I did, or go crazy with it!

That’s it! A simple DIY Bubble Bath that you are sure to love! It also smells awesome and costs about $2 (if you already have fragrance oil and food coloring at home).
