Halloween Mummy Spinach Bread Dip Recipe
Are you planning on cooking up some yummy recipes for Halloween and the coming holidays?
I decided to recreate their Halloween Mummy Spinach Dip recipe. I love this spinach bread dip recipe. I think it was so easy to create and tasted so amazing.
I found the instructions were easy to follow.
I added extra vegetables to my version to make it more nutritious. I try to sneak in vegetables anywhere I can and the peppers are great to add to the dip.
I also used a wheat thin cracker.
I am trying to watch what I eat so I used the low calorie ranch dressing and the light sour cream.
You couldn’t tell the difference my husband had no idea. He ate almost half of the dip buy himself.
Ingredients:
- 1 package (450 g) of refrigerated pizza dough
- 1 beaten egg
- 2 sticks (21 g each) of Kraft aMOOza! Twists Mozzarella-Mozzarella Flavour Cheese Snacks
- 2 slices of black olives
- 1 cup of light sour cream
- 1/4 cup of Kraft Calorie-Wise Rancher’s Choice Dressing
- 1 package (300 g) of frozen chopped spinach, thawed and well drained
- 1 green onion, sliced
- 1/2 cup of finely chopped red peppers
- 1/4 cup of Kraft 100% Parmesan Light Grated Cheese
- 1/4 teaspoon of ground black pepper
Step 1: Create the Mummy’s Body
Begin by patting the dough into a 12×6-inch oval shape on a baking sheet that you’ve sprayed with cooking spray.
Press both sides of the dough, about 3 inches from one end of the oval, to shape the mummy’s head.
Allow the dough to rise in a warm place for about 20 minutes, or until it has doubled in size.
Step 2: Bake and Wrap
Preheat your oven to 400ºF (200°C). Brush the dough with the beaten egg and bake it for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the bread turns a delightful golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped gently.
While it’s still warm, pull apart the string cheese to create approximately 16 strips, and arrange them over the bread to give the mummy its signature wrapping appearance.
Bake for an additional 1 to 2 minutes, or just until the cheese is melted. Then, cool it slightly and press olive slices into the bread to form the mummy’s eyes.
Let it cool completely.
Step 3: Prepare the Dip
While the mummy is cooling, prepare the spinach dip.
Mix the sour cream and dressing in a medium-sized bowl until they’re well blended, and then stir in the remaining ingredients.
Place the dip in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes, or until you’re ready to serve.
Step 4: Assemble and Fill
To assemble the mummy, use a sharp knife to remove the bread from the top of the mummy’s body.
Scoop out the bread from the center, leaving a thin shell on the bottom and sides.
You’ll want to keep the bread top as you’ll use it later.
Fill the bread with the spinach dip just before serving, and cover it with the top of the bread. Enjoy your Halloween Spinach Mummy Dip!
Serve this ghoulishly delicious Halloween Spinach Mummy Dip with your favorite crackers, chips, or vegetable sticks. Your guests will love unraveling the mummy to reveal the ooey-gooey cheesy center.
This Halloween Spinach Mummy Dip is not only a visual treat but a tasty one too. Enjoy your spooky, cheesy creation at your Halloween gathering!
