Homemade Body Scrub- Simple How to on making Body Scrub
Homemade Body Scrub
We all know how pricey some body products can be, that is why I made this Homemade Body Scrub! It is super simple to make, smells great, and feels wonderful on your skin! Body Scrubs are great for exfoliating your skin, and making it feel moisturized and fresh. This homemade body scrub is made with only 4 ingredients, and the sugar used in it is wonderful for your skin. The natural glycolic acid in sugar not only helps condition and moisturize skin, but protect it from toxins! And Brown sugar is gentler on your skin than white sugar, so it’s great for someone with sensitive skin. (Plus is smells great!) The oatmeal in this scrub can help treat acne, eczema, rosacea and rashes, and the olive oil used has anti-inflammatory and moisturizing properties! This homemade body scrub would be great for yourself, or to give as a gift.
Here is what you will need to make this Homemade Body Scrub:
- 2 cups dark brown sugar
- 1 packet of oatmeal. (make sure you run this through a food processor or blender, until it has a sandy consistency)
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract (or any other scent you might like)
- 1 cup Olive oil
- Mason jar or any other decorative jar.
Here is how to make Homemade Body Scrub:
Step 1: Mix together your brown sugar and oatmeal in a large bowl, until they are well blended.
Step 2: Add in your olive oil and vanilla extract and mix together until well blended.
Step 3: Pour mixture into a decorative jar and decorate if you are giving it as a gift!
This Homemade Body Scrub was super simple and quick to make and it feels amazing on your skin! It is best used in the shower when your skin is damp, and rinses off easily with warm water. You can keep this scrub in a cool, dark place for up to 2 months!
