Homemade Weight Watchers Taco Seasoning Recipe
So I was watching TV while on a blogging break earlier this morning and something got me thinking, why is there SO much crap in our food lately!? It seems like there are more and more things that have ingredients that I can pronounce. With that in mind, and remembering that it was taco night, I thought I would ditch the premade stuff and try to make everything from scratch. So that meant ditching the taco kit and learning to season my own taco meat. And I must say, I think my tacos taste better now then they did when I was using the packaged spices so I thought I would share the recipe with you. The best part? This Homemade Weight Watchers Taco Seasoning Recipe is 0 Points Plus! Woohoo!
Here is all you need to make this Homemade Weight Watchers Taco Seasoning Recipe:
You Will Need (Makes 20 Tbsp,serving size 2 tbsp):
2 1/4 Cups Chili Powder
1 Cup Cumin
3/4 Cup Salt
6 tbsp Black Pepper
6 tbsp Paprika
2.5 tbsp Onion Powder
2.5 tbsp garlic Powder
2.5 tbsp Oregano
2.5 tbsp Red Pepper Flakes
Once you have added all your spices to a bowl, mix em up! Make sure you store in an air tight container! I LOVED this mix and thought it gave my tacos a great flavor and a great kick. It’s a slow start to cutting out some of the unneeded chemicals and preservatives in my food but we all have to start somewhere right?
