Making School Mornings Easier With Make Ahead Homemade PB&J Bread Breakfast Recipe

We are in week 2 of a brand new school year and let me tell you, it’s still hard to get up at 6 am every morning ha! Summer is a time for sleeping in at my house, and getting back in the swing of things during a new school year can be difficult. But luckily, a hot breakfast (and maybe a little dancing) can make even the earliest mornings good mornings. This week we have been dealing with some not so nice weather, so getting up in the mornings has been even harder, so I thought I would make it a little tastier by making a treat my daughter and I could both enjoy before heading off to school. Peanut Butter and Jelly is my daughters favorite flavor combination, and Smucker’s Concord Grape Jelly is her favorite type of jelly, so we decided to make a Peanut Butter & Jelly Bread which is perfect for a rainy day breakfast. Because who says PB&J has to just be for lunch?

Here is how to make my Peanut Butter & Jelly Bread

You Will Need:

• 2 Cups All-Purpose Flour
• 1 1/2 Tsp Baking Powder
• 1/2 Tsp Baking Soda
• 1/2 Tsp Salt
• 1 Cup Brown Sugar
• 2 Eggs
• 1/2 Cup Vegetable Oil
• 1/2 Cup Peanuts
• 1 Cup Peanut Butter
• 1/2 Cup Smucker’s Grape Jelly

Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350F. In a mixing bowl, combine your flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Mix to combine.

Step 2: In another bowl add together your brown sugar, eggs, oil, peanut butter, and Smucker’s Jelly. Mix well to combine.

Step 3: Add your wet ingredients in with your dry and mix using a stand (or hand) mixer until well combined.

Step 4: Fold in your peanuts. Line a bread pan with parchment paper and pour your mix in. I added a little more jelly on top (yum). Bake at 350F for 60-70 minutes. (Note, this is a dark bread, so no worries when you see it come out ha!)

Step 5: Pour some jelly over the top of your bread after it’s cooled. Slice and serve!
