Memories: Birthday books
This series on how to make the most out of the time you have with your children is brought to you by Amee at Madame Deals and Sharon at Mom on Dealz.
We have a tradition in our home we make Birthday books. We put our favorite pictures on the computer and then we create a book out of them. We love to relive our memories. I make sure to type in exactly what the children describe the pictures as and how they viewed their Birthday year. This is a picture from the book we are making daddy for his Birthday in December.
When we make the books for the kids we try to include their favorite activities and their favorite colors and food. We try our best to make the book about them. It is a wonderful way to celebrate their life each year. It is also a great way to work on their literacy. I think as the children get older I am going to have the children be in charge of authoring a sibling’s book.
I always create these books all year and then when there is a good sale. I print them out. I try to watch for the best deal in the person’s birthday month. This is a super gift and it is under $20 and that is priceless.
Here is a picture from our youngest Birthday book.
