Frommer’s and HomeAway 6 for 60 Veterans Family Vacation Contest

It is 5 o’clock. The sun is beginning to set and the day is drawing to a close. She is wondering when he will return home. She searches the vast ocean for a hint of his whereabouts, but the waves show no clue in their relentless crests.

She wants to pretend it is filled with hope, holidays, silly stories, and love.
She opens the white envelop slightly yellowed in transit or by salted air only to skim until she lands on the one word she doesn’t want to see.
Sorry.
He is sorry he will not be home for their first holiday. He will be home before and after but not on. She begins to tear but then, she thinks about all the other sailors who will not make it home at all. She realizes it isn’t the date that matters, everyday is a holiday when you are with the person you love.
She is grateful for each day.

Sonoma, California offers a luxurious 3+ acre space in a gated community, surrounded by vineyards. It is located near several wineries as well.
Verona, Italy offers a newly built Villa, that sleeps seven with three bedrooms and three bathrooms. This property is surrounded by vineyards, and scenic hills. It also offers a short drive to local beaches and amusement parks.
Hilton Head Island, South Carolina offers a seven bedroom, eight bathroom home with an elevator. Staying here means you are less than 90 yards from the beach.
London, England offers a five bedroom house in South West England. This property can comfortably house up to 10 people.
