Wedding Wednesday: Use Your Skills to Save Cash

If you want to save some extra cash and cut the wedding costs, then one of the best ways is to wear your crafting hat and make your own decorations, centerpieces, bouquet and favors. Aside from saving, this is a great opportunity for you to add your personal touch to your special day. But one of the first thing that you should remember is to choose your projects well. If it will stress you out then you have to forego this suggestion. It’s better to have a fairly relaxed bride than one who is stressed out.

Here are some suggestions:

Floral Decorations: It is often cheaper to create your own reception centerpieces, floral arrangements, corsage and even bouquet. You can even customize so that the flowers perfectly match your
wedding colors.

Centerpieces: You can save a lot by creating your own centerpieces, especially if you’re having lots of guest. And you can be creative in doing centerpieces, aside from flowers, you can use candles, fruits and other decors.

Create Your Own Wedding Favors, Bridesmaids Gifts and Groomsmen Gifts: Personalized favors and gifts such as beaded jewelry, scrapbooks, small decors are more meaningful than store-bought gifts.

Personalized Table Linens: Sewing your own tablecloths and napkins is quite easy to make even if you’re just a beginner seamstress. This is even a nice opportunity for you to match your decor.

Again, it is important that you will only do enough projects that won’t stress you out. Even if you’ll spend some extra cash, it will be better rather than being stressed all throughout your wedding planning period. Also, don’t hesitate to ask for your friends and family’s help for sure they will be very much willing to be part of your special day.
