Cube Steak Crockpot Recipe
Cube Steak Crockpot Recipe
I see this cut of meat called cube steak all the time. I only see it used it stews. I decided I could make a freezer to crockpot meal with it. I am currently into making large quantities of soups that freeze well. I figured I could conquer a Cube Steak Crockpot Recipe.
Cube Steak Crockpot Recipe
Ingredients:
-
2 lbs cube steak
-
3 large bell peppers (one red, and one yellow, one green)
-
1 Can of tomato sauce
-
1/2 cup chopped onion
-
1 clove of fresh Garlic
- 1 can of diced tomatoes with chili
-
1 tsp salt
- 1tsp of pepper
-
Cornstarch & water (to add later)
FREEZER MEAL DIRECTIONS:
Place all the ingredients above in beef in gallon sized resealable bag. Seal and mix well. Freeze.
DIRECTIONS FOR BAG: Thaw and place contents in crockpot. You can thaw this in the refrigerator or run it under water until it is thawed. Cook on low 6-8 hrs. 30 minutes before serving, combine cornstarch and some water. Whisk into crockpot. Turn to high and cook 30 minutes to thicken. Serve over noodles or rice. I also add a can of pineapples in the last 30 minutes. This is optional and my husband isn’t a fan of the sweet so I just put them in mine 🙂
