Elf on the Shelf Idea – How to Make Elf Tutu Costume

Elf on the Shelf Idea – Tutu. You see my daughter saw an elf on the shelf with a tutu which lead I want one. I looked at the price and decided she was not getting one. I mean why would I spend $5 when I can spend less than $1. I decided I could make an elf tutu costume. I do not even sew but I thought it would be more fun to make one and it only took a couple of minutes. I let my daughter pick out the elf tutu colors and we headed out to the craft store.

Here’s how to make an Easy Elf Tutu Costume

You will need:

• 1/4 yard of tulle in whatever colors you wish! $.56
• scissors
• ribbon it was $.33 a spool

Measure the ribbon my encircling the elf’s waist.

Then cut the ribbon so you have enough to tie it once you create the tutu

Cut the tulle in 6 inch strips

Then you will fold it over and knot it

You will continue to do so until you have covered the ribbon.
