Kalahari Resort Review

There is something for Everyone at Kalahari Resort

My family has visited several waterparks but Kalahari Resort was not one we had ever visited. When I got the chance to go for Mother’s Day, I couldn’t think of any better way than to spend the day with my children and husband. We arrived at the resort right at check-in and I was surprised at all the staff bustling around the front entrance to get people to the right parking areas and resort areas. There is the main check-in and a check-in area for the “Condos” (aka Suites).  Check-in was a breeze and within minutes we were on our way to our room. Our room was a 2 bedroom combo suite. The suite offers a full kitchen with full size stove, fridge and dishwasher. Dishes, silverware and cooking implements are provided.

Soon after checking in, we donned our swimsuits and headed to the waterpark.  I was not ready for the enormity of the waterpark and we quickly set to exploring all the water attractions and rides. I use the word rides because Kalahari Resort offers the widest selection I have ever found in a waterpark. They have a lazy river, wave pool, toddler area, extreme water slides,  indoor and outdoor hot tubs, and so much more.  My son’s favorite was the Flowrider. The Flowrider allows the chance to practice your boogie boarding skills in a safe environment with lots of thrills. My daughter and I loved the Swahili Swirl. The Swahili Swirl is a multiple person raft ride that swirls you around before dumping you into a pool of water.

The waterpark is not the only thing Kalahari Resort has to offer.

They also feature a Safari Outdoor Adventure Park. The Adventure Park features an Animal Park, Climbing Wall, Rope Courses and Zip Lines. The Adventure Park is open from Spring – October but the Animal Park is open year round. There is an extra charge for the Adventure Park.

You can also create a hand painted pottery piece or build a stuffed animal at Pottery Pizzazz.

For a little non-water fun hit the Big Room Arcade and find yourself surrounded by games an contests. They do not just offer traditional arcade games but have Bowling, Mini-Golf, and Laser Challenge. There are games for everyone in the family.

You never have to leave Kalahari Resort in order to eat because they offer a wide selection of restaurants and dining option. If you want something outside the resort there are many restaurant options close by. My husband opted for Buffalo Wild Wings and was back in less than 20 minutes. They even offer call ahead so the food was ready to be picked up.

I couldn’t have been happier with all the options available for the whole family. I just wish that we had a day or two more in order to enjoy all that Kalahari Resort has to offer.

Kalahari Resort provided a room  to Madame Deals in order to review the resort. These thoughts and opinions are strictly my own and I have not been paid for a favorable review.
