How to Make Waffles with Sweet Potato Fries!
Get ready to be blown away or at least have your socks knocked off. I honestly don’t know how or when the idea popped into my head but I thought about making waffles using french fries and thought it sounded like a fun way to cook fries. Then I thought if waffles made with french fires sounds good, what about waffles made with sweet potato fries. I LOVE sweet potatoes and always order sweet potato fries instead of regular fries when I have the option. So if the idea of making waffles with sweet potatoes fries has not knocked your socks off yet trust me they will go flying when you find out how easy it is and how great they taste.
How to Make Waffles with Sweet Potato Fries!
Ingredients:
small bag of sweet potato fries, thawed
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Directions:
Mix all ingredients together.
Heat waffle iron. Spoon enough potato mixture onto the hot waffle maker to cover the griddle.
Close and cook for 5-6 minutes.
That’s it! Easy right? Easy and so good.
Serving Suggestion:
So this is the part that blew up my taste buds. We bought mahi-mahi burgers and grilled them. We also cooked onion rings on the grill. Then I cut a waffle in half, topped it with a mahi-mahi burger and a few onion rings. OMG!
Then…wait for it…I drizzled the whole thing with yum yum sauce. Do you know what yum yum sauce is? It is the sauce they give you to dip you steak and shrimp in at a Japanese hibachi restaurant. You can buy it ion the grocery store. My family uses it on everything!
