Holiday baking is my favorite type of baking. I love all the fun colors and flavors of the holidays. And chances are, I get to share whatever I’m baking!
Every year my neighborhood does a cookie exchange, and it’s something we all participate in. This year I wanted to do something a little different and make some Easy Holiday Cake Cookie Bars!
They are moist like a cake, and taste like a cookie. The best part is that they are super easy to make and look pretty festive is I do say so myself. Keep reading to find out how to make them!
Here is how to make my Easy Holiday Cake Cookie Bars
You Will Need:
- 1 Box Yellow Cake Mix
- 1 small Box Vanilla Pudding Mix (just the mix! Don’t make it)
- 2 Eggs
- 2/3 cups Vegetable Oil
- 1/3 cup Water
- 1/4 cup Chocolate Chips
- 1/2 cup Red and Green Chocolate Candies
- Optional: Powdered Sugar
Step 1: Preheat your oven to 375 degrees. Grease a 9×13 cake pan.
Step 2: Mix all of your ingredients together in a bowl. (I told you this was an easy recipe)
Step 3: Pour your cake batter into your pan and stick in the oven. Bake for 20-30 minutes or until your fork comes out clean.
Step 4: let your cookie cake bars cool and then cut into squares. Top with powdered sugar and serve! You could also wrap them up and send them to someone special!
Now wasn’t that an easy recipe!? And perfect for any holiday gatherings you have.
The kids will love it, and I bet the adults will come back for seconds as well! Happy Holidays to all, and to all many yummy cookies!
