Non Alcoholic Mardi Gras Punch Recipe for Kids

Having a fun get together for Mardi Gras this year? We always like to have a little fun and bring the Mardi Gras spirit to Tennessee each year by throwing a party! But unlike most Mardi Gras festivities we have children involved so I wanted to make a (non alcoholic) Mardi Gras punch recipe!

Mardi Gras Punch Recipe

Mardi Gras punch is a fun and easy way to add a touch of celebration to your day. Kids will love the fizzy bubbles and sweet flavors of this colorful drink. Plus, it’s a great way to get them involved in the festivities and teach them about Mardi Gras traditions.

It’s a fun punch that is easy to make and really brings the spirit with traditional Mardi Gras colors!

Here is how to make this (non alcoholic) Mardi Gras Punch Recipe for Kids

You will Need:

  • Lemon Lime Soda
  • Grape Soda (You could also use grape Koolaid, grape juice, etc)
  • Pineapple Juice
  • Sliced Lemons/Sliced Limes
  • Punch Bowl

The great thing about this recipe is that it’s a pour and go recipe! All you need to do is pour in your lemon lime soda, grape soda, and pineapple juice. Mix it up and add your sliced lemons and limes.

(TIP: I like to slice my lemons/limes and then freeze them before adding them to the punch that way you won’t have to add ice and water down the punch!)

That’s it! A few ingredients and 2 minutes of prep and you have a wonderful (non alcoholic) Mardi Gras punch recipe that your kids will love!

Fun Mardi Gras Activities for Kids

Mardi Gras is a fun-filled celebration that takes place before the start of Lent, and it’s not just for adults! Kids can join in on the festivities and have a blast. Here are some ideas for Mardi Gras activities that you can do with your little ones.

1. Decorate Masks

One of the most popular Mardi Gras traditions is wearing masks. You can purchase pre-made masks at a party supply store or have your kids make their own. Use glitter, feathers, beads, and other colorful materials to decorate the masks.

2. Have a Parade

Create your own Mardi Gras parade in your neighborhood or backyard. Kids can decorate wagons or bikes with streamers, balloons, and other festive decorations. Have them dress up in costumes and march to their favorite tunes.

3. King Cake

Bake a traditional Mardi Gras King Cake with your kids. The cake is made of a sweet dough and has a small plastic baby hidden inside. The person who finds the baby is said to have good luck for the year. Check out my easy to follow recipe.

4. Face Painting

Face painting is always a hit with kids. Use Mardi Gras colors like purple, green, and gold to create fun designs on their faces. You can also hire a professional face painter to make the experience extra special.

5. Bead Crafts

Mardi Gras beads are a must-have accessory during the celebration. Your kids can use the beads to create their own jewelry or crafts. Use pipe cleaners to make bracelets or necklaces, or create a bead mosaic by gluing beads onto a piece of cardboard.

6. Dance Party

Put on some Mardi Gras music and have a dance party with your kids. Teach them how to do the Mardi Gras Mambo or just let them dance to their favorite songs. It’s a great way to burn off some energy and have fun.

Mardi Gras is a fun time for everyone, and there are plenty of activities that kids can enjoy. Whether you’re baking a King Cake or having a parade in your backyard, your kids are sure to have a blast. So, let the good times roll!
